The next version is an ongoing project, though on slow burner at the moment unbtil my Space helmet is done.

No one really nails something like this on the first try, though I really liked how it turned out there are always details you miss and things you could do differently. :)

I've printed most parts for a new version that has a full array of leds on the ball claw, removing the pushbutton for firing. It has a non-light-up barrel and the on/off is set at the top middle of the handle where screenshots show a hole for a slim pin button.
This means that the tri-connector fork at the back end can be set as tight as on the original hero prop instead of hiding a sliding on/off as I'd used on my first Dalek Gun.

The Barrel is thinner coresponding to screenshots of the real prop and the side tubes will be made of metal to make them far less brittle.
